Where it Began
In 2021, during one of the most disruptive periods in modern history, the global freight industry was under immense pressure.
COVID shutdowns, supply chain bottlenecks, and skyrocketing shipping rates exposed just how fragile and misunderstood freight really was.

Businesses were hit especially hard. With limited freight knowledge, they relied heavily, often blindly, on their freight providers to navigate an increasingly volatile landscape.
It was in this chaos that our founder, Tania Nicolson, saw a bigger issue at play: the problem wasn’t freight providers. It was the lack of accessible freight education for businesses trying to keep up.
The Humble Beginnings
With over 25 years of freight and logistics experience, Tania began consulting directly with clients. Her mission was simple: to equip business owners with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to take control of their shipping.
She quickly discovered that while the desire to learn was there, freight felt too complex, too overwhelming, and too time-consuming for most business owners to manage on their own. Each business needed a unique freight roadmap - there was no one-size-fits-all solution.

The Turning Point
By 2024, it was clear that consulting alone wasn’t scalable. If the goal was to help hundreds, if not thousands, of businesses, a new approach was needed. That’s when Freight Lab 360 was born.
